Pathway Team Spotlight: Maricruz

Greetings!

We hope this blog post finds you healthy and well! The times we’re living in right now are uncertain and different than what we’re used to, to say the least! We hope that you’re being kind to yourself and your team and that you’re taking things one day at a time.

Navigating this new normal has made us even more grateful than ever for the fantastic team we have working hard at Pathway Design Group, and we thought it would be a nice distraction to highlight our team members in some of our upcoming blog posts!

Our first Pathway Spotlight focuses on one of our newest additions — Maricruz Meza. Maricruz was hired as a Consultant and HR Generalist here at Pathway earlier this year, and we are so happy to have her!

What services does Pathway Design Group provide that you find to be the most meaningful?

Maricruz: I appreciate the foundation on which Pathway was built. Its mission, vision, and values align with mine — focusing on the people within an organization in order to help it be successful. The way they can personalize and individualize their services to each client speaks to me as well.

How would you describe yourself, in 5 words?

Ambitious, honest, compassionate, friendly, and a problem solver!

How do you think others would describe you, in 5 words?

I hope I’m seen as empathetic, trustworthy, creative, generous, and loyal.

We’re big on learning lessons here at Pathway. What’s your favorite lesson you’ve learned since beginning work here?

Knowing that the skills I’ve learned in my past experiences are all applicable to my daily work environment. I’ve also learned a lot from seeing the Pathway mission in action each and every day, and after even just a few weeks here I already feel like a valued employee.

Tell us a little more about you. What brought you to Pathway?

I’ve worked in Human Resources for the past 14 ½ years. Most of that time has been spent in the manufacturing industry. I appreciate the fact that Pathway is a faith-based, family-oriented company, and I look forward to applying my HR knowledge and experience to multiple client cases in a variety of environments.

What else? How do you spend your time when you’re not in the office?

I have been married for almost 17 years and have three boys ranging from 14 years to 7 months old —  JJ, Alexander, and Leonardo. We’ve also got a dog named Coco. Our family has always enjoyed being outdoors, and we love to spend time supporting our kids in all of the sports and activities they participate in. We also enjoy traveling and experiencing new places together.

One thing’s for sure, we’re thrilled to have Maricruz on our team!

Look for more Pathway Spotlights in the coming months, and be sure to take care of yourself and the ones you love as we navigate this new normal, together!
